Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Discoverse ("we", "us", "the Service") at discoverse.net and related applications, including our website, Discord bot, and APIs. By using Discoverse, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Discoverse helps users discover Discord communities, Steam games, and game servers. We display listings, rankings, statistics, and promotional features submitted by server owners or collected through integrations (including the Discoverse Discord bot).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you manage a listed server, you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of that community.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. Listings & content

When you add or manage a listing, you agree that:

Your server description, tags, images, and links are accurate and lawful.
You will not list content that promotes illegal activity, hate, harassment, malware, or fraud.
You grant Discoverse a non-exclusive license to display your listing data on the Service.
We may moderate, delist, or remove content at our discretion to protect users and the platform.

5. Discord bot & data

Adding our bot to a Discord server allows us to collect activity metrics (such as online counts, voice activity, and message activity) to power rankings and charts. We do not store message content. Guild managers can configure visibility settings where available. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Premium & payments

Paid plans (if subscribed) are billed through our payment provider. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Features, pricing, and tiers may change with reasonable notice. You may cancel recurring subscriptions according to the instructions provided at checkout.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Abuse rankings (fake bumps, bots, or manipulated metrics).
Scrape or overload the Service without permission.
Attempt to access admin areas, other users' accounts, or non-public APIs.
Reverse engineer or interfere with the security or operation of the Service.

8. Intellectual property

Discoverse branding, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Discord, Steam, and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners. Your listings remain yours; we only display them as part of the Service.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of third-party data, or that any server is safe or suitable for you. Use listings and external links at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Discoverse shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or €50 if no fees were paid.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
