Privacy Policy

Discoverse is built around public discovery and aggregated activity metrics. We do not collect private Discord content and we do not build profiles from personal communications.
What we do not store
- Message content — we never read, log, copy, or store the text of Discord messages.
- Private conversations — DMs and non-public channels are not accessed for analytics.
- Sensitive personal data — we do not collect government IDs, payment card numbers on our servers (payments are handled by Stripe), or private contact details beyond what you optionally provide for your account.
What we do collect (activity analytics only)
When the Discoverse bot is present in a Discord server, we record anonymous activity statistics used for rankings and charts:
- Message counts — how many messages were sent in a period (a number only, not the message itself).
- Voice activity duration — how long users spend in voice channels (time spent, not audio).
- Public server metrics — such as online member counts, voice user counts, and similar listing stats already visible on server pages.
These metrics are aggregated for analytics and rankings. They are not used to reconstruct private conversations or to inspect what anyone said.
Public information only
Server listings use information that communities choose to make public on Discoverse: server name, description, category, tags, invite link, icons/banners, and the activity statistics described above. We do not expose private Discord data through the Service.
Website usage
We may keep basic technical logs and page-view counters to operate and improve the site (for example, which pages are visited). This is limited to analytics-style usage data, not the content of your Discord messages or voice conversations.
Accounts
If you sign in, we store only what is needed to run your account (such as a display name and an email or OAuth identifier from Discord/Steam). We do not sell this information. You can request account deletion by contacting support.
Retention
Activity statistics are retained for ranking history and charts, then purged on a rolling basis (typically within 30 days for detailed activity data). Snapshot and listing data may be kept longer in aggregated form to show server trends.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete data we hold about your account. For Discord activity metrics tied to a server you manage, contact us through the support channel on the Discord page.
